Okay, so I'm a total geek when it comes to the Tales series, but by far TOS has been my ultimate fave. My sister just informed me that they have a sequel coming out for the Wii! This is me, very excited. However, I believe I will only be fully spazzing if Kratos shows up in this one. I love that man to death, and I would love to see him come back in this. I won't say any spoilers but... he's just awesome. ;3
Here's the latest trailer for the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMAaF-YUGkM
Now I need to save up so I can get a Wii. >D It's set to be released in Japan sometime Spring 2008. So, probably won't see an English version until Fall of 08 or Spring of 09.... hopefully. >D
Anyone else play any Tales games? Or familiar with Symphonia or the new sequel? |

The only game in the Tales series I've played is Symphonia (which I've owned only about a week or two after its release), but it quickly became one of my all-time favorite RPGs. There are only a handful of games that are as long as Symphonia and have actually encouraged me to play it more than once. Needless to say, I've also been waiting to hear more about ToS:KoR. It will be interesting to revisit some of the old locales and see what has changed in a few years time.
The only problem I'm having is that I also have to get a Wii, and there are more than a few games that I already feel like I must own for the system. Oh well, I'm hoping that by the time this game is released, things will be working out much better. |

Agreed. I have re-played ToS numerous times. But I'm also a sucker for stories that include "I am your father" motifs. XD Same thing goes for FFVIII. hehe
Yeah, we should both have one by the time this game comes out. Especially at least by X-mas. It'll have been out for 2 years come Christmas, it should be a lot easier to find by then. |

By X-mas?!? I hope I don't have to wait THAT long. There is a game called Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming out within another month, and I CAN'T be too late for that party! Hopefully, I'll have a Wii around this time, as well. I actually have something to help me out with this matter, too. I just hope I'll be able to find one. Galaxy's getting lonely... |

lol Yeah, I would prefere getting one before X-mas, but at least we know it should be easier this time of the year.
Oh man! I've played Melee, and Brawl just looks awesome. :3 I'm so excited that Snake and Sonic will be in it. >D hehe Galaxy looks stunning too. Oooh so many good games. :3 |

I figured that I would bring that article I recently discovered to this thread and its readers' attention.

Simply put, if anyone had any worries about this game not coming to the US, you can set them aside now. Of course, seeing as how big a hit the original ToS was for the GameCube, this isn't that shocking. It sold much more than even Namco had anticipated, and it managed to gain a huge fan-base. Making this game and not having it come out of Japan would have been crazy.
But yeah... Woo-hoo! |
